Saving The Boulder Fields of Moss Rock Preserve
About Saving Moss Rock
I am a Bluff Park, Alabama resident who is committed to protect the natural beauty of Moss Rock Preserve, particularly the Boulder Fields, and sustaining the natural environment with minimal impact. I have found that there are many residents in the area who are not aware that the future plans include construction immediately adjacent to the boulder fields.

There are 250 acres of nature preserve under the protection of the City of Hoover, for which we all very grateful. But the boundary lines were not initially  drawn to fully protect the most visited area of Moss Rock Preserve that everyone loves and enjoys around the Boulder Fields.

I am, along with many others who are joining in the effort of Preserve The Preserve, asking that the City of Hoover revisit the plans for the Town Center in The Preserve with the developer. We want any new construction to be shifted far away from the boulder fields. Already, trees have been cleared very near the boulder fields where some of the Town Center will be constructed, and much of the pristine beauty has been destroyed.

Future generations of nature and climbing enthusiasts will come to Hoover from all around our country to enjoy the Boulder Fields if we protect them now!
